Aksulamal

One of the important aspects of developing the conscious mind is awareness raising especially for the youth, alongside our courses since 2000 has been the publication of an Urdu quarterly Aksulamal (Reflection of Action). Aksulamal mainly focuses on the colonial and imperialist basis of development practices and its systematic manifestation in the world. It tries to intellectually unveil the origin of the world’s dominant system, its causal link with contemporary issues to understand the world complexity in a coherent manner. The critical analysis of conventional development paradigm i.e. the mass education, news and information, poverty alleviation, community subjugation, role of multinationals and globalization to raise radical awareness in masses of the role and strategies of global Power structures. The dominant part of Aksulamal focuses on above mentioned issues from leading international and national intellectuals i.e. Noam Chomsky, Harvard Zinn, Paulo Friere, Allama Eqbal, Helena Norberg Hodg, Edward Said, Eqbal Ahmed, Dr. Tariq Rehman and Dr. Mubarak Ali etc. Aksulamal translates the contributions of these intellectuals and make the access to masses possible through our publication and courses. Aksulamal is published quarterly and is widely distributed among development workers, CBOs/NGOs, academic institutions, libraries, students, policy makers, community centers and people’s representatives.
