Early Childhood Education, AED

IDSP has been engaged in a feasibility study by Academy for Education Development to seek out the venues of Early Childhood Education. It was a USAID sponsored project aiming to support education ministry to mainstream Early Childhood Development in education development. Dr. Quratulain Bakhteari was part of the AED team and she provided her technical support in the design of the project.

Community Participatory in Education

This project was initiated with the help of British Council. The project was primarily aimed to have an audit of the innovative experiences initiated in field of community participation in reference with education throughout the country. IDSP launched a research in four different districts i.e. Naseerabad, Multan, D.I. Khan and Kairpur where the innovative actions in CPE were thoroughly studied and a concept of learning belt developed that was intended to combine poverty with the process of education.


Public Private Partnership in Education Sector, Sind Government

This study was commissioned by the Government of Sindh Education Department to develop policy(s) of Public Private Partnership in Education sector. Linkages of community participation and its ramifications at the policy level were studies; Sindh Education Foundation was one of the main organizations looked very closely for its programs in the field.

Supporting in Strategic Planning for Development

CONCERN World Wide an international non-governmental Organization based in Dublin, Ireland, devoted to the relief and assistance of people in less developed areas of the world. Currently Concern Worldwide is operating in 28 Countries of the world. IDSP has supported them in building the strategic plan for Balochistan and Pakistan. IDSP conducted researches and presented the areas of interventions, challenges and way forward for CONCERN to provide the assistance in the development of these communities.

National Education Foundation

IDSP is involved with the National Education Foundation, NEF. IDSP’s work portfolio is as under:

NWFP Education Program, Evaluation of Community Participation Component

IDSP was engaged to evaluate the CP component of this long (seven years) program in NWFP. The evaluation looked as lessons learned, and proposed future course for C.P. Intervention in NWFP.

Community Mobilization Process in Afghan Refugees Villages

The program is placed in Afghan Refugee Camps. The program aimed at enhancing women participation in the education process, decreasing the drop out in schools and activation of Parent Teachers Association in the camps.

Intern's Scheme [Primary Education Program, NWFP]

IDSP was the advisor to NWFP Primary Education (Intern Scheme) which aimed at developing female human resource in the education sector. The program led to the Mainstreaming Gender and Development Program in Balochistan.

National Training for NRB

National Re-construction Bureau NRB organized the training for the executive district officers of community development departments in all four provinces of Pakistan. The training held at Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar. IDSP gave the training on community development, its background, approaches, processes and principals leading to the conceptual understanding of public private partnership.
