Learners and Community Partnership Program

Learners and Community Partnership Program is one of the core programs of IDSP aiming to strengthen IDSP learners conceptually and enable them to work with their communities. IDSP has number of learners and having diverse experiences in different thematic areas. Learners across the Pakistan were engaged in IDSP courses where they got the education on understanding the dominant development paradigm, education systems, politics of the development and its institutions, rights, political education and many more at the same time they were getting man skills of research,communication and sort of professional development. Once the theory of the course comes to its end the other segment of the course starts which is called practice or research (a process of identification of community issues, working with community, collective action) where all the learners conduct their researches and taking collective action towards resolving.

Objectives of Program:

  • To engage IDSP graduates for catering their needs and enabling them to work for their communities by providing them conceptual and technical support in designing and conceptualizing their community interventions and research studies.
  • To design and develop innovative practices around the concepts of community development by engaging the communities in long term sustainable development processes with graduates and communities.
  • To conduct community development need based short and long term courses for learners at community level and to ensure the participation of learners and young men and women across the Pakistan.
